Do I need special software to complete a session?

If you are using a laptop or desktop computer, you will simply click on the link you receive a few minutes prior to the session. No additional software will be needed. If you are using a tablet or phone, you will need to install a free app. You can find the link to the app on the BEFORE FIRST SESSION page.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are typically 45 minutes.

How often will we meet?

Sessions are typically scheduled one per week. In some circumstances, sessions are scheduled more often.

What if I have an emergency and am in crisis?

You should go to the Emergency Department of your nearest hospital.

Do you do audio-only sessions?

This can be arranged if prudent.

Will my health insurance reimburse for telehealth sessions?

Some insurance companies will reimburse for telehealth. You will pay in full for each session with me prior to the meeting day and time. I can provide a superbill which can be sent to your insurance company if you think that they will reimburse for the fee. You can call the customer service number on the back of your card to ask if telehealth sessions are covered.

What forms of payment can be used to pay for sessions?

You can use Paypal or a credit card. If you want to use a credit card without using Paypal, add the 45-minute fee to your cart and you can select credit card payment once you checkout. If you want to use Paypal or Paypal Credit, hit one of those buttons after adding a session to your cart.

What is the cost of a session?

The fee for a 45-minute session is $70.

Where should I be when we have a session?

You should choose a quiet, private space, free from distractions.

Can you prescribe medications?

No. See your Primary Care Provider for medication evaluations.

Can you see people located anywhere in Indiana?

Yes. You can be located anywhere in the state.

Can you see people located in other states?

I provide psychotherapy to people located anywhere in Indiana. I provide coparenting coaching and wellness coaching to people located anywhere. Counseling for parenting after divorce or general life satisfaction and coping is not considered clinical mental health treatment and is not limited to Indiana which is where I am licensed to perform mental health services.

Can we use email to carry out therapy?

I use messaging for scheduling and use video sessions for the therapeutic process. If you send a detailed message with content related to your therapy need, I will reply with a suggestion that we talk about that in your next session.

Will you testify in court for a case I'm involved in?

No. I do not testify in court. Receiving services from me includes an agreement to not ask me to participate in any legal process.
